Aw, heck - I'm having some somewhat petty and dull issues over these Oxford essays. Here's the deal:
1. All the Oxford website says is that language applicants should submit two essays - I am applying to do French and Beginner's Italian, therefore French is currently the only foreign language I spika.
so I figured: two French essays, fine, la di da. My teachers agreed, I start planning....
BUT THEN!!!!!
2. On thestudentroom.com some fellow language applicants have said they have just received confirmation letters telling them one of the two essays should not be in the foreign langauge! - Not all colleges of Oxford send confirmation letters. I just got a generic email, so I have no idea whether this applies to me.
Doesn't sound like a big deal, but then you have to understand that I have been working literally hours today just on my first essay. In fact, I'm only taking a few minutes off to vent here. I've emailed the admissions office *worried*
So knowing whether I even need to do another one is rather important - time-wise, effort-wise and otherwise, as Sgt. Esterhaus would say.
"THAT'S RIGHT, MOTHER - YOUR BOY'S A LIMEY FORKFLINGER!"
"AH - DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE YOU SO ... SPOON!"
"WHAT THE FORK!"
"I'M THE BLUE RAJA. I'M NOT STAB-MAN. I'M NOT ... KNIFEY-BOY. I'M THE BLUE RAJA!"
